MEMBERSHIPS AND AFFILIATIONS
Accreditations and Memberships of Trade Associations and Professional Organizations:
Airtron Canada encourages employees to continually increase and expand their professional and business knowledge. Supporting continuing education is one of the ways in which we encourage performance improvement, employee engagement and commitment.
We place great importance on professional memberships and those affiliations we have within the industry. Professional memberships promote industry awareness, but more importantly, provide excellent venues for sharing best practices, benchmarking and networking. Many Airtron Canada employees across the country are members of one or more of the following professional associations and hold one or more of the following professional certifications:
Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)
AEE offers a variety of information resource tools. As a growing membership organization, the overall strength of AEE is highlighted by a strong membership base of over 9,000 professionals and recognized certification programs. The Association’s network of 67 local chapters meet to discuss regional issues.
American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)
Membership in ASHRAE is open to any person associated with heating, ventilation, air conditioning or refrigeration through such disciplines as indoor air quality and energy conservation, for example. Membership in ASHRAE allows access to state-of-the-art HVAC&R technology and provides many opportunities to participate in the development of that technology.
Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)
BOMA of Canada is the voice of the Canadian commercial real estate industry with over 2,500 members in regional associations across Canada. BOMA Canada addresses issues of national concern, and promotes excellence in the industry through information, education advocacy and recognition.
Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO)
The Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario was founded in 1948 to serve and represent the interests of the electrical contracting industry. Over its history, ECAO has been committed to addressing the needs of the industry by providing a variety of services directly to the membership, and by making representations on behalf of the entire industry to government and industry colleagues.
Energy Services Association of Canada (ESAC)
Airtron Canada is a founding member of the Energy Services Association of Canada (ESAC). ESAC is an advocacy organization created to actively promote government policies and available regulatory support, to help drive increased utilization of guaranteed performance based solutions that serve to upgrade Canada’s aging infrastructure and yield fiscally and environmentally responsible outcomes.
Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI)
HRAI is a partnership of industry sector organizations that represents Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) manufacturers, wholesalers and contractors who provide the Canadian public with products and services for indoor comfort and essential refrigeration processes.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED-AP)
LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process. LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED AP’s) have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System.
Mechanical Contractors Association of Ontario (MCAO)
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Ontario (MCAO) is an employer organization working for the enhancement of Mechanical Contractors in the Ontario Construction Industry. The Association represents the best interests and concerns of their membership through involvement in ongoing, established activities, as well as the development of, and participation in, several existing new initiatives aimed at improving the industry and level of success in the future.
Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT)
OACETT is a non-profit, self-governing, professional association of approximately 20,000 members and a 42-year history of certification in Ontario. OACETT promotes the interests of engineering and applied science technicians and technologists in industry, educational institutions, the public and government.
Ontario Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (ORAC)
ORAC represents Ontario’s largest single organized body of contractor practitioners in the Commercial, and Professional, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade. The purpose of the Association is to represent and serve the HVACR Contractors in Ontario with programs and services that promote responsible solutions to issues which benefit our members, customers and the general public.
Project Management Professionals (PMP)
Project Management Professional certification is the international standard for Project Managers. The PMP is based on principles within the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). The framework embodies a project life cycle and five major project management process groups – Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing.
Contractor Check is a third party health and safety pre-qualification accreditation program that assesses the health and safety management systems of contractors. The program is designed to clients in commercial property, educational facilities, hospitals and retail comfort knowing that any ContractorCheck Accredited contractor they engage with has demonstrated that they have a safety program that satisfies federal and provincial legislation, as well as client specific requirements. Every assessment is assessed and/or accredited by an experienced CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional).
